I am not a new teacher or young teacher. I have raised three children and have worked outside of the school system for part of my adult life. I'm not a spring chick I guess. I love learning. I read about 50 books a year for pure enjoyment. Also, I am working on my master's degree in education. So, I do read and learn new things, too.

I currently am a teacher at Fontenelle Elementary School in Omaha, NE.  This is my fourth year to be teaching fifth graders.  I previously taught sixth grade at Fontenelle. I started teaching in the early 1990's after I got my teaching degree from University of Nebraska at Omaha. I really like teaching. I love the challenges and daily changes of being with children.

.I grew up in the greater Omaha area. I went to country school for my beginning years of school. I then, became a city girl after my father died and we moved to town. I attended Florence Elementary School and McMillan Jr. High in Omaha. I finished out school at Papillion Senior High School. I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated four years later. I lived in out-state Nebraska for eight years after I got married and started to raise my family. I have lived in Nebraska all of my life.

Row, row, row you room!

Looks familiar!!!

I spend a great deal of time trying to find more than four corners in my room. It's very hard to do when you have a rectangle to start with.
